Educated at The Glasgow Academy, Degree in Risk Management from Glasgow Caledonian University and an Advanced Insurance Diploma (ACII) from the Charter Insurance Institute.
He is a Commercial Insurance Broker with TL Dallas a national independent broker as well as being a Director of the Merchants House of Glasgow.
His hobbies include clay pigeon shooting, snowboarding and hillwalking.
In 2019 he competed the West Highland Way for the second time.
