David has over 25 years of experience in General Management, Operations Management and Process Improvement; working for the past 18+ years in the Life Science sector.
David enjoyed a 15-year career with General Electric in the aerospace industry, holding a range of Engineering, Process Improvement and Operations roles, before joining BioReliance Ltd (now part of Merck KGaA) in 2005 in a business improvement role. He then held a range of roles during his 18 years at Merck, both in the UK and US, most notably leading their Contract Testing Services business in Glasgow from 2017 to 2024.
David joined Solvias, a Swiss-based life science company, in 2024 as Vice President of Operational Transformation. He now divides his time between his home in Scotland and various global Solvias locations.
David holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) from Glasgow Caledonian University and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean Practitioner from General Electric and the Shingijitsu Corporation respectively.
In addition to his role at Solvias, David is extremely proud to be a Trustee of two Glasgow-based charities: Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity and HI Scotland.
