The Project Assistant will provide essential administrative support for AMINA MWRC's Employability and Financial Advocacy Services.
Please note this is a fixed term work placement with a maximum duration of 26 weeks

Founded in 2001 on the principles of community development, our work is underpinned by community empowerment, participation and partnership working. Amina MWRC envisions an inclusive world where Minority Ethnic women fulfil their aspirations, striving for inclusivity and societal fairness.
Muslim and ME women face notable inequalities, including low accessibility to education and healthcare, and higher rates of gender-based violence. Amina MWRC actively engages with these women, building community resilience, ensuring these voices shape national policies, and advocating for informed understanding among mainstream agencies and policymakers.

Details of Training Provided
All new staff go through an induction process where their line manager goes through the policies and procedures of the organisation, the history of the organisation and our current work. They are encouraged to meet with all staff on an individual basis to familiarise themselves with all strands of our work. This usually takes place in the first 1-2 weeks.
Formal support and supervision is provided every 8-10 weeks. However, new staff meet more frequently with their line manager for the first month where work priorities and a work plan are developed. Support and supervision consists of agreeing work priorities and targets for the month ahead and discussing how work has progressed in the previous month. Difficulties or barriers are discussed and addressed as well as additional support and training needs.
All new staff receive on the job training as well as training on Violence Against Women and Girls issues, Helpline training, Equalities training as well as access to any group training for all staff or any free training offered to us, such as mental health training, SafeTalk etc.
