Job Description

To support the Group Worker in delivering group sessions/activities for children and their parents/carers, to encourage and promote engagement, strengthen relationships, build confidence, play and socialisation skills.

Please note this is a fixed term work placement with a maximum duration of 26 weeks 

Key Responsibilities

Tasks may vary, but will involve:

• Purchasing snacks for groups

• Setting up play areas, toys, materials and other equipment

• Taking registers

• Supporting children’s play

• Supporting games and other activities

• Giving out food and drink

• Tidying up after snack time, washing dishes.

• Building relationships with children, parents, carers, staff, volunteers and other professionals

• Keeping the play space tidy, safe and secure

• Cleaning toys and other equipment

• Tidying toy cupboard

Number of Hours Per Week 16 hours per week for 26 weeks

Wages

Salary will be paid monthly and will be £12.60 per hour
