Loganair, the UK’s leading regional airline, has welcomed its 750,000th passenger through Stornoway Airport.
The achievement showcases Loganair’s strong commitment to Stornoway and the surrounding communities, providing an essential link between the Isle of Lewis and the mainland.
To mark the occasion, frequent flyer Aliyssa Glen, 36, who often uses the route for work, was gifted a complimentary travel voucher. Originally from Aberdeenshire, Aliyssa and her husband Richard moved to Stornoway nearly three years ago and are regular users of Loganair’s convenient services to the mainland.
Aliyssa said: “I usually travel on my own, so having the opportunity to organise a trip with my husband and son makes this extra special. Winning these vouchers means we can visit Manchester and catch up with friends we haven’t seen for such a long time!
“I regularly travel with Loganair for work and have always had a great experience. The staff are always friendly and attentive, making all the journeys as comfortable as possible.”
Luke Lovegrove, chief commercial officer at Loganair, said: “Marking the carriage of 750,000 passengers through Stornoway is an important milestone for us, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to keeping the Highlands and Islands connected to destinations across the UK.
"It has been a pleasure to celebrate with Aliyssa and her family as representatives of the many passengers who rely on these vital Loganair services daily to connect them with family, friends, and businesses.”
Passengers flying with Loganair on the Stornoway route can enjoy a standard baggage allowance of 21kg and convenient connections across the UK through Loganair’s expanding network of routes and airline partners.
Those booking directly through Loganair’s website can also collect Avios, thanks to Loganair Loyalty’s integration into the Avios ecosystem.
Flights can be booked at www.loganair.co.uk or via local travel agents.
