Trailblazing Women Recognised at The SWIB Awards 2025 – £1,500 Raised for Charity

Scotland’s business community came together in Glasgow earlier this month (Thursday 4 September) to celebrate the achievements of outstanding women at the Scottish Women in Business (SWIB) Awards 2025.

Hosted by TV and radio presenter Jennifer Reoch at The Exchange, Glasgow, the sold-out awards lunch saw five exceptional winners honoured in front of more than 100 business leaders, entrepreneurs, and changemakers.

The awards, backed by headline sponsors Rathbones and The Russell Group, along with supporting sponsors Connect Three, Chrystal HR, Aberdein Considine LLP and Laurie Macpherson, shine a spotlight on women who are driving progress across Scotland’s economy and communities.

The 2025 Winners

  • Woman of Influence – sponsored by Connect Three: Lisa Tennant
Chair and Non-Executive Director, championing inclusive leadership and diversity at board level across the UK.
  • Catalyst of Change – sponsored by Dress for Success Scotland: Dr Nina Burrowes
Founder of The Consent Collective, transforming responses to sexual harm and pioneering safe workplace culture.
  • Woman to Watch – sponsored by Rathbones: Wiktoria Sobczyk
Technical Manager at Inverness-based agency Yellow Cherry, blending creativity and technology to deliver innovative digital solutions.
  • Champion of Women – sponsored by The Russell Group: Rachel Chan
Identity & Transformation Coach and Business Mentor, empowering ambitious women to step fully into their potential.
  • Outstanding Achievement – presented by Scottish Women in Business: Anne Ledgerwood
Estate Director at St James Quarter and Former St Enoch Centre Director, recognised for her influential leadership, professionalism, and advocacy for Scotland’s cities and retail sector.

Anne Ledgerwood said:

“Absolutely thrilled, honoured and humbled to have been chosen as the recipient of the Outstanding Achievement Award at the Scottish Women in Business Awards. A wonderful event in a room full of incredible women made this even more special. Thank you to the Committee, the judges and the membership — and special thanks to Sarah Heaney and Katy Morrison.”

The event also raised over £1,500 for SWIB’s new charity partner, Dress for Success Scotland, which supports women into employment. Thanks to generous prize donations from Sarah Haran, Baxters, The Social Hub, and The Botanist, guests enjoyed a lively raffle that helped drive the fundraising total.

SWIB President Sarah Heaney said: “The SWIB Awards are about celebrating women who are making things happen, leading businesses, changing culture, and creating opportunities. This year’s winners represent the very best of Scotland’s ambition and talent. We’re also delighted that together we’ve raised vital funds for Dress for Success Scotland, a charity that perfectly reflects our values of empowerment and support.”

With inspirational finalists, strong backing from business sponsors, and record support for charity, The SWIB Awards 2025 cement their place as one of Scotland’s most uplifting celebrations of women in business.
