Six businesses have been shortlisted for the award and have been recognised for their contribution to the city’s thriving business community.
This year’s finalists represent a broad spectrum of sectors. They include Oakminster, which delivers high-quality, specialised care across the city; Chisholm Hunter, the nationally recognised jeweller founded in Glasgow; Glasgow Comedy Festival, the annual celebration of comedy talent that attracts audiences from across Scotland and beyond; Glickman’s, the city’s oldest sweet shop and home to traditional handmade confectionery; Go Radio, the station bringing music, news and conversation to local listeners; and The Address, a stylish new hotel development that has quickly established itself in the heart of Glasgow.
The public is invited to cast their vote to decide which business will be named Glasgow’s Favourite Business 2025 at the Glasgow Business Awards, hosted by Glasgow Chamber of Commerce. The winner of prestigious award will be announced at the black-tie ceremony on Thursday 2 October at the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central.
Out of the 17 categories celebrated on the night, Glasgow’s Favourite Business, sponsored by the Glasgow Times, is the only award voted for by the public.
Richard Muir, Deputy Chief Executive of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, said: “This year’s shortlist highlights the diversity, resilience and talent of Glasgow’s business community, from heritage retailers to cultural icons, and from property and hospitality to homegrown media. These organisations each play a role in shaping the city’s identity and ensuring Glasgow remains a vibrant place to live, work and visit.
“As Glasgow’s Favourite Business is decided entirely by the public, it adds a special dimension to the Glasgow Business Awards. We look forward to celebrating all those shortlisted, and to discovering who Glaswegians choose as their Favourite Business in 2025.”
