Landsec the owner of Buchanan Galleries, has taken a significant step forward in its plan to refurbish and enhance the centre by submitting a planning application to Glasgow City Council. This milestone follows on from the recent acquisition of 229-249 Buchanan Street and underscores Landsec’s vision to boost the retail, food & drink and leisure experience at the top of Buchanan Street across their wider estate.

The next stage in our proposal could bring several exciting enhancements to Buchanan Galleries, including:
We look forward to working closely with Glasgow City Council and stakeholders throughout the planning process. Subject to approvals we would commence a short rolling construction programme, keeping the centre open throughout the process.
We will host regular community interactions which will commence with an exhibition in Buchanan Galleries from 26 to 28 June 2025, to provide visitors with an opportunity to view our plans in person.
