The very latest and greenest fully-electric Glasgow taxi is now serving the city following the introduction of the Ford MAXICab to Scotland's biggest fleet.
Following the launch of the new model, a number of Ford MAXiCabs have already joined Glasgow Taxis fleet, the largest traditional taxi company in the UK outside London, with each vehicle capable of being recharged from 20% to 80% in just 39 minutes.
Glasgow Taxis welcomed the new zero-emission vehicles thanks to a partnership with Cab Direct as the Boden Street-based organisation further strengthens its green credentials.
Glasgow Taxis chairman Dougie McPherson said: "The Ford MAXICab has a real wow factor, making an instant impression on drivers and passengers alike. It's green, it's comfortable and, importantly, it's wheelchair accessible - and it's another great asset for Glasgow Taxis as electric vehicles continue to provide an important solution for the taxi trade's future needs."
