Shortlist for the Glasgow Business Awards 2025 revealed

Glasgow Chamber of Commerce has today (19 August) announced the shortlist for the Glasgow Business Awards 2025 (GBAs).

Sponsored by Virgin Money, the annual awards recognise and celebrate the success of Glasgow based businesses and individuals across 17 categories. This year’s black-tie ceremony will take place on Thursday 2 October at DoubleTree by Hilton, Glasgow Central.

In addition to the published shortlist, a further three awards will be presented on the night. These include The Glasgow Chamber of Commerce Award for Lifetime Achievement, and the most prestigious accolade of The Glasgow Business Award for Most Outstanding Business, which will be awarded to one of the winners from the other categories.

Glasgow’s Favourite Business, sponsored by Glasgow Times, is the only GBA voted for by the public. The shortlist for this award will be announced over the coming days when the public vote will open with the winner being crowned on the night.

Richard Muir, deputy chief executive of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, said: “Glasgow has such a vibrant business community, and it brings Glasgow Chamber of Commerce great pride to shine a light on a selection of the city’s excellent organisations. These businesses have shown great resilience and continued to serve and inspire the people of Glasgow.

“Our thanks go to Virgin Money for supporting the awards, and to all our category sponsors too, including media partners The Herald and Glasgow Times. Congratulations to all the shortlisted businesses, we wish them the best of luck and continued success.”

David Henderson, head of strategic finance for west of Scotland at Virgin Money said: “The roots of our Business Bank and our connection with the city can be traced back for nearly 200 years. We are lucky enough to see first-hand on a daily basis, the depth and quality of the businesses who can also call Glasgow their home and the incredible contributions they make to our local community and to the wider economy. This years’ list of Finalists underlines that perfectly. Congratulations to everyone who has been shortlisted, and we look forward to being part of what is sure to be a tremendous event, highlighting and celebrating their success.”
