Ryden begins 2024 with the appointment of Ken McInnes in key business development role

Ryden, a leading independent commercial real estate firm, is kicking off 2024 with a strategic move, announcing the appointment of industry stalwart Ken McInnes to a newly created position in client relationship and business development.

Ken is a well known figure in the commercial property sector after gaining a wealth of experience during his tenure as Office Agency Partner in Ryden's Glasgow office. His expertise and knowledge are sure to bring significant value to the company in his new role.

The firm has experienced strong income growth from its Building Consultancy, Planning, Valuation and Management teams and has also expanded its offerings with enhanced Project Management and Research services. On the transactional front, the industrial market remains a star performer, but noteworthy is the resurgence of larger office lettings and increased activity in city centre markets.

Alan Gilkison, Ryden Managing Partner, commented on the appointment:

"In the face of recent challenges in the commercial property market, we have not only kept our business on course but have also maintained our expert teams. This appointment underscores our commitment to staying closely connected with our clients, presenting them with well-considered opportunities to drive their businesses forward. Ken is a familiar and respected figure among our clients and partners in Scotland and England, and his extensive experience will provide them with invaluable guidance."

Ken McInnes shared his enthusiasm for the new role:

"I am looking forward to this exciting new challenge and collaborating with both existing and new clients throughout the UK. It's fantastic to be back at Ryden and to have the opportunity to contribute across diverse sectors of the UK market.

Anticipating a positive shift with forecasted interest rate reductions in 2024, we see this year as a period of growth for the investment and development markets across the UK. My focus will be on working closely with colleagues and clients to help them seize the emerging opportunities."

Ryden's strategic move comes at a pivotal time for the industry, and with Ken McInnes leading the charge in business development, the company is poised for a dynamic and successful year ahead.
