Baby Loss Retreat is Charity of Year for Scottish Women in Business

Baby Loss Retreat was established in 2018 by Julie and Bryan Morrison.

The core aims of the charity are to relieve the emotional and psychological suffering of parents, individuals and families who have suffered a bereavement following a stillborn, neonatal death, miscarriage, IVF or medical termination by providing counselling, trauma therapy, Listening Music Therapy and respite.

The aim of the support we provide is to help people to deal with trauma so that they are better able cope with everyday life.

We initially arrange a 1 to 1 session with the parents or individuals affected so we can establish what sort of support is required. Our qualified counsellors provide parents with an initial 6 session. we have supported over 700 Parents in the past 5 and a half years.

Baby Loss Retreat CEO, Julie Morrison said:

"The team at Baby Loss Retreat and I are delighted to be the nominated charity 2023/2024 for Scottish Women in Business. I look forward to attending these events and talking to all in the network. Women in business is an important network to have and we will provide support to these businesses with baby loss policies in the workplace. With this nomination it is obvious we need to acknowledge our babies, talk about our babies and support each other. Thank you to everyone for giving us this opportunity."
