IKEA has an ambitious strategy – People and Planet Positive – which sets out their sustainability agenda across the entire value chain. Their ambitions and commitments are all set to be achieved by 2030 and have been developed in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The strategy has three major focus areas:
Some examples of how the organisation will reach its goals includes giving IKEA furniture a second lease of life through its Circular Hubs and pre-loved to re-loved programme, introducing more good food that’s good for the planet, offering zero-emission home deliveres, working with social entrepreneurs and promoting gender balance and equal pay.
