Essential safety platform installation on M8 Junction 21, Scotland Street, commences Monday 9 November 2026

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential safety platform installation works on the M8 at Junction 21 Scotland Street, between the eastbound and westbound main carriageways, from Monday 9th November until Saturday 12th December 2026. The work will take place overnight between the hours of 10pm and 6am, Monday to Friday nights only.

The work will be carried out over Seaward Street from Monday 9th November until Friday 27th November 2026, and over areas away from the trunk road network from Tuesday 1st December until Saturday 12th December 2026.

During the work a single lane closure will be in place around Seaward Street Roundabout. No diversion is required.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
