See the World’s First Tartan Spacesuit® & Flying Car at Glasgow Science Centre

For one morning only, Glasgow Science Centre will host two extraordinary technologies touring the UK together: the world’s first Tartan Spacesuit® and the world’s first commercially certified flying car from PAL-V.

Join Dr Sharon Lemac-Vincere, creator of the Tartan Spacesuit® and founder of BREACANAUTE, as she explores how heritage, identity and storytelling can shape the future of innovation — from space and cybersecurity to the next generation of frontier technologies.

Sharon will be joined by Arthur van der Wees and Carlo Maasbommel from FLYVE/PAL-V to share the story behind bringing flying cars from science fiction to commercial reality — exploring the challenges, ambition and innovation needed to turn bold ideas into real-world technologies.

Together, the session will explore how creativity, engineering and imagination come together to shape what comes next — and why culture and identity still matter in the technologies we build for the future.

This is a rare opportunity to experience both technologies up close, hear directly from the people behind them, and take part in an open conversation on future mobility, space and innovation.
