ScotRail has announced that it will be returning to its normal timetable from Glasgow Central High Level on Wednesday 25 March 2026, after work was completed to reinstate the remaining platforms at the station.
After more than a fortnight of disruption caused by a fire in a building on Union Street, platforms one to 15 can now be used from the start of service on Wednesday.

It is advising customers to check their journey before travelling as there may be some minor alterations to services due to some trains being out of position following the station closure.
They can do so via the ScotRail website, app, and through our social media channels. Station staff are also on hand across the network to help where possible.
The reopening of the remaining platforms has been confirmed following comprehensive safety checks by Glasgow City Council and Network Rail and as the safe demolition of the building next to the station continues.
Public safety remains the priority so not all entrances and exits to the high level are open. An exclusion zone around the area worst affected by the fire is still in place so the entrances to the station on Gordon Street and Union Street will remain closed until further notice.
