Footasylum, a leading footwear and sportswear omnichannel business, will open a new store at Silverburn shopping centre on 12 March 2026. The 10,305 sq ft store, located in Unit B7, marks the brand’s return to one of Scotland’s leading retail and leisure destinations.
The opening, which will create 29 jobs, strengthens Footasylum’s established presence in Glasgow, building on the strong performance of its former Silverburn store and existing locations across the city, including Argyle Street, Fort Shopping Park and Braehead. The move will enable the brand to deliver an elevated retail experience in a leading shopping centre where it has historically performed well.
Home to more than 100 stores and 25 restaurants, Silverburn represents a significant growth opportunity for Footasylum, thanks to its strong mix of fashion brands and continued investment in guest experience. Re-entering the location aligns with Footasylum’s wider UK store rollout strategy, which prioritises high-performing, high-footfall locations. Other recent openings include Darlington’s Cornmill Centre, Bromborough’s Croft Retail and Leisure Park, and Forster Square in Bradford.
The Silverburn store will offer a curated selection of new and exclusive product ranges, tailored specifically to its Glasgow customer base. It will also stock a variety of renowned third-party brands alongside Footasylum exclusive labels including Monterrain, Forena, Dripmade and Epic Kind.
Meanwhile, Footasylum continues to progress its international growth plans. In November 2025, the company signed a distribution agreement with MAD agency across the DACH region of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. This was followed in December 2025 by a new strategic partnership with Apparel Group to establish Footasylum stores across the Gulf Cooperation Council region, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman.
