Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel presents exhibition by Lewi Quinn

Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel & Spa, Glasgow’s only AA-accredited five-star hotel, is delighted to welcome an exhibition by Lewi Quinn, showcasing his captivating collection ‘No Longer Strangers’ in the hotel’s elegant lobby and staircase.

Quinn’s work merges fantastical abstraction with a subtle, playful wit, transforming the hotel’s contemporary staircase gallery into a visual experience that invites closer inspection. Bold forms, nuanced details, and harmonious colour palettes create a sense of movement, perfectly complementing the hotel’s sophisticated interiors.

Hailing from Ayrshire, 35-year-old Lewi Quinn is an artist, designer, and muralist whose work spans throughout the UK. A proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, Quinn’s signature style blends soft pastels with vibrant brights to craft dynamic, refined compositions that enliven urban and interior spaces alike.

Drawing inspiration from the ever-changing beauty of the sky – sunsets, clouds, and shifting light – Quinn infuses his work with a sense of wonder and vitality. His murals and installations grace homes, bars, restaurants, and public spaces, with recent commissions for FirstBus, Auchentoshan Whisky, and NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service Dundee.

A passionate collaborator, Quinn frequently engages local communities in his projects, bringing warmth, approachability, and creative energy to workshops such as the Winchburgh Marina mural. His artistic practice is defined by a commitment to transforming spaces and experiences through colour, form, and imaginative vision.

Lewi said: “No Longer Strangers is about familiarity, connection, and the quiet joy of discovering something new within a space you already know.

“Exhibiting at Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel has allowed my work to live and breathe in a setting where people gather, pause, and move through daily. I love the idea that guests might encounter a piece unexpectedly and feel a moment of curiosity and warmth – even if just for a second.”

Marcello Ventisei, General Manager, said: “We are delighted to welcome Lewi Quinn to showcase No Longer Strangers within the heart of the hotel.

“Lewi’s work brings a vibrant sense of movement, imagination, and contemporary elegance that aligns beautifully with our hotel’s ethos.

“Supporting local creative talent and Glasgow’s wonderful mix of communities, including its LGBTQ+ community is central to who we are, and this exhibition further reinforces Kimpton Blythswood Square as a cultural destination as well as a place of refined luxury.”

No Longer Strangers is on display now in the lobby of Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel, offering guests an immersive encounter with Quinn’s expressive artistry.

The upcoming exhibition programme will see a rotating selection of artists invited to display their work throughout the hotel, transforming shared spaces into evolving galleries that surprise, inspire, and engage guests and locals alike.

This display sets the tone for the series, establishing Kimpton Blythswood Square as a platform for artistic dialogue, creative collaboration, and refined cultural experiences.

Guests may purchase the artwork on display by making enquiries at the hotel reception. For further information, please contact the hotel directly via the website.
