Scotland's FIFA World Cup 2026™ journey got off to a memorable start as thousands of supporters gathered at the OVO Hydro for Our Moment Live, creating an electric atmosphere for Scotland's first World Cup match in 28 years.
Fans roared and cheered at Scotland's biggest World Cup fanzone as Steve Clarke's side opened the campaign against Haiti.
From the moment doors opened, the OVO Hydro was transformed into Scotland's home end with fans enjoying a packed programme of live entertainment, football activities, family-friendly experiences and special performances before taking their seats to watch the match live on the venue's giant 20-metre screen.
Hosted by Des Clarke and featuring performances from Dougie MacLean, Donnie Munro and the Hoolie in the Hydro house band, the event delivered a unique blend of music, entertainment and football and captured the spirit and hopes of a nation as it returned to the world's biggest stage.
Dominic McKay, Chief Executive of the SEC, said: "Tonight was exactly what we hoped Our Moment Live would be – a celebration of Scotland, football and togetherness. The atmosphere inside the OVO Hydro was incredible from start to finish, with supporters creating something truly special as we shared this historic moment together.
"What made the night so memorable wasn't just the football; it was seeing families, friends and supporters from every corner of the country come together under one roof. The performances, the entertainment, the singing and atmosphere delivered an unforgettable experience and we are now looking forward to our next events, for the games v Morocco on June 19 and the final group match v Brazil on June 24.”
