Glasgow's Climate Plan Consultation is now open

With the consultation now open for the revised Glasgow's Climate Plan, Sustainable Glasgow is encouraging participation.

Glasgow City Council has just opened the Consultation for the revised Glasgow's Climate Plan.  The consultation period will be open from Thursday, 11 December 2025 until Sunday, 15 February 2026.

The Sustainable Glasgow Board has been following this revision process from its start.  Having reached this stage, there's now an opportunity for all Sustainable Glasgow Partnership, the thematic Hubs, and the wider city, to provide comments and get even more involved.

The revised Glasgow's Climate Plan brings together the city's plans to reduce carbon emissions and to adapt to the impacts of climate change we are already experiencing.  It highlights the benefits that can be obtained through ambitious climate action, including warmer homes, more green spaces, cleaner air, lifting families out of poverty, and creating new green job opportunities.

The Council and the Sustainable Glasgow Board believe that this revised plan will help ensure our city is better equipped to make the journey to net zero carbon and deal with the increasing risks posed by the climate emergency.

Sustainable Glasgow supports the ambitions of the City's climate targets and having a robust Climate Plan is of high importance.  All information on the revised plan, the consultation, a Quick Guide to understand the plan, and how to submit your comments and inputs can be found here.
