Skypark’s George Reader Spotlights Opportunities for Glasgow’s Businesses

Situated in the thriving cultural and residential hub of Finnieston, Skypark is one of Scotland’s largest and most dynamic business destinations, home to a workforce of over 1500 people and over 30 businesses reflecting Scotland’s diverse economy. The campus accommodates a wide range of sectors, including space, technology, scale-ups, shipping, legal, finance, research, light manufacturing, and leisure businesses.

With an eye on Skypark’s future in Glasgow, new Estate Manager George Reader, comes from a background spanning retail, residential, industrial, and commercial sectors.

George said: “Joining Glasgow Chamber of Commerce gives our tenants a powerful advantage, from increased visibility and credibility to networking opportunities with key decision-makers across the city. It opens the door to collaboration, business growth, and access to valuable insights, helping tenants not only establish themselves but to really thrive within Glasgow’s dynamic business community.

“With 360 views of the city’s inspirational landscape, you can step straight into the west end with green spaces, transport links, restaurants and local amenities on the doorstep. Anderston Station is only a five-minute walk away, with Charing Cross ten minutes and the central business district fifteen minutes by foot, putting you within easy reach of everything the city offers.

George continued: “Skypark is an evolving hub, a connective thread between Glasgow’s vibrant city centre and the creative pulse of the west end. As it grows, so too does its value, offering future generations a place where accessibility, innovation, and opportunity  converge.”

Designed to support business growth and employee wellbeing, a range of on-site amenities include a children’s nursery, EV chargers, a car club, prescription delivery services and wellbeing treatments are bookable via Skyparklife app.  The campus is ActiveScore Platinum, the highest rating awarded for active travel facilities, infrastructure and community recognising a commitment to sustainability and wellbeing. On site socials, workshops and lunchtime events create opportunities for networking and engagement.

As a longstanding supporter of Scottish arts and culture Skypark recently partnered with the GSA’s 25th anniversary exhibition ‘CATALOGUE: 25 Years of the Centre for Advanced Textiles’ and Glasgow Chamber of Commerce to deliver a  collaborative event ‘Interwoven: Business and Creativity’ that told the story of 25 years of CAT’s pioneering work in digital textile printing – discussing the ideas with business leaders and showcasing celebrated artists, and global brands; Grayson Perry, Kerry Nixon for Glasgow Commonwealth Games, Linn and Timorous Beasties.
