Ewen and Cat celebrate 100 days of STV Radio with huge celebrity guest line-up

Much-loved radio duo Ewen Cameron and Cat Harvey are set to celebrate the first 100 days of Scotland’s new national station, STV Radio, with a glittering line-up of guests joining them on air.

The hosts of Ewen and Cat at Breakfast will be joined in the coming weeks by a star-studded line-up of Scottish talent – including an Academy Award-winning actor and director; an Emmy-winning TV star; and one of Scotland’s most successful bands.

The celebrations kick off tomorrow morning (Tuesday 14 April) when multimillion-selling singer-songwriter – and longtime pal of Ewen and Cat’s – Amy Macdonald drops by the STV Radio studio for a chat and live performance.

Later this week, there’s a treat in store for children across the country (and their millennial parents) when Andrew Agnew – more commonly known as Balamory’s PC Plum – joins Ewen and Cat to discuss the long-awaited return of the CBeebies show, while 80s music legends Hue and Cry pop in ahead of their upcoming UK tour.

Next week, fresh from winning the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor, Baby Reindeer creator and star Richard Gadd will be live with Ewen and Cat to talk about his gripping new BBC/HBO series Half-Man. There will also be a Doctor (Who) in the house in the shape of Academy Award-winning actor and director Peter Capaldi and his TV producer wife Elaine Collins, who’ll talk about working together on the new series of Apple TV thriller Criminal Record.

And bringing the Friday vibes on 24 April is singer and presenter Michelle McManus. Over 22 years since seven million people voted for her to win Pop Idol, Michelle will treat STV Radio listeners to an exclusive performance of her ever-iconic hit, ‘All This Time’.

Ewen Cameron said: “I like my celebrity guest line-ups like I like my breakfasts: FULL and SCOTTISH! We’ve had an incredible time over the last 100 days building Scotland’s new national radio station from the ground up, and to have so many Scottish stars joining us to celebrate STV Radio’s first wee milestone is going to be absolutely epic.”

Cat Harvey said: “It’s our wonderful listeners who have made these first 100 days so special, and I’m chuffed that we’ll have more great celebs joining our crazy breakfast crew in the next few weeks. From PC Plum, to Doctor Who, to ‘All This Time’ – we’re nothing if not eclectic here on STV Radio!”

Having launched on 6 January, STV Radio marks its 100th day on air on Wednesday 15 April. The station features Scotland’s favourite radio voices and a varied music offering with all the best tracks from the 80s, 90s and 2000s. Celebrity guests that have already appeared on Ewen and Cat at Breakfast since launch include musicians KT Tunstall, Marti Pellow and Justin Currie and silver medal-winning Team GB curlers Bruce Mouat, Bobby Lammie, Grant Hardie and Hammy McMillan Jr.
