The Royal Highland Centre (RHC) and 21CC Group have announced a major new strategic partnership, marking a significant step forward in Scotland’s ambition to strengthen its position as a world-leading destination for events.
Commencing on Thursday 2nd April, the five-year partnership brings together one of Scotland’s leading technical production groups with one of its most iconic event venues, creating a fully integrated, best-in-class offering for event organisers across the UK and internationally.
Under the partnership, 21CC Group becomes the Royal Highland Centre’s integrated, in-house event delivery partner, providing a seamless, end-to-end service for event organisers. This includes creative event design and overlay through Rogue City Productions, full technical production via 21CC Productions, and specialist visual and effects services delivered by Funktioncreep, spanning LED screens, lighting, sound, AV, SFX, staging, power, lasers, projection mapping and holographics.
The partnership is spearheaded by Geoff Crow, Managing Director of 21CC Group, and Mark Currie, Managing Director of the Royal Highland Centre, and reflects a shared commitment to collaboration, innovation and delivery at scale.
This move aligns with Scotland’s National Events Strategy - Scotland the Perfect Stage - which emphasises collaboration, capability and a ‘Team Scotland’ approach to delivering world-class events. By combining venue, creative and technical expertise into a single, cohesive delivery model, the partnership reduces complexity for organisers while unlocking new opportunities to attract major events to Scotland.
The news comes following the Royal Highland Centre recently appointing four new non-executive board directors to strengthen the commercial growth of the venue.
Mark Currie, Managing Director, Royal Highland Centre, said:
“The Royal Highland Centre has always been at the heart of Scotland’s events landscape, and this partnership strengthens our ability to support events of real scale and impact.
“By aligning with 21CC Group and its specialist businesses, we are enhancing the capability, creativity and technical excellence available at the venue. Together, we are building a stronger, more integrated platform that will benefit event organisers, audiences and Scotland’s wider visitor economy.”
Geoff Crow, Company Director, 21CC Group, added:
“This is a bold step forward for Scotland’s events industry. By bringing together venue, design and technical delivery under one aligned partnership, we are creating a seamless, scalable offering that allows event organisers to deliver at a higher level, with greater efficiency and confidence.
Scotland already has the talent, infrastructure and ambition to be a global leader in events. This partnership is about unlocking that potential and working collaboratively to attract and deliver world-class experiences, and positioning Scotland firmly as the perfect stage for major events.”
The partnership reflects a growing recognition across the sector that collaboration, shared capability and integrated delivery are key to sustaining growth, attracting investment, and delivering high-quality, impactful events. It reinforces Scotland’s reputation as a globally competitive, innovative and trusted destination for major events.
