Unlocking Glasgow’s Digital Future: A new partnership between City of Glasgow College and Glasgow Chamber of Commerce

Glasgow has always been a city of innovation, industry, and enterprise. Today, as digital transformation reshapes economies worldwide, it is vital that businesses across our city region have the tools, skills, and confidence to unlock their full digital potential.

That’s why City of Glasgow College and Glasgow Chamber of Commerce are proud to announce a new partnership dedicated to supporting businesses in the private and third sectors on their digital journey.

Driving Productivity and Growth

Digital technology is no longer a “nice-to-have” – it is a fundamental driver of business productivity, competitiveness, and long-term growth. From streamlining operations with automation, to harnessing data for decision-making, to building digitally confident teams, the opportunities for innovation are endless.

Yet many businesses face barriers:

  • Uncertainty about where to start with digital strategy
  • Limited leadership buy-in or expertise
  • Challenges in embedding a digital-first culture
  • Gaps in digital skills and capabilities across teams

This partnership, part of the College Local Innovation Centres (CLIC) project, funded by Innovate UK, is designed to bridge these gaps – offering practical, accessible, and impactful support to businesses across Glasgow.

Supporting Digital Ambition

Through this collaboration, we will help businesses strengthen three critical areas:

  1. Digital Strategy and Leadership – equipping leaders with the vision, confidence, and knowledge to guide their organisations through digital change.
  2. Digital Culture and Capabilities – empowering teams to adopt digital ways of working, fostering innovation and resilience.
  3. Digital Data and Impact – supporting businesses to harness the power of data, measure outcomes, and demonstrate impact.

The support will offer a fully funded assessment of your digital capabilities, and a one-day workshop to implement strategies to help enhance your capabilities, with the following dates/milestones:

  • Registration Closes - Fri 31 Oct 2025
  • Digital Assessment Window Open - Mon 03 Nov 2025
  • Digital Assessments Close - Fri 28 Nov 2025
  • One Day Workshop - 28 Jan 2026
