Pride Festival 18 July 2026

Please find below restrictions relating to Pride Festival. 

Roads affected and dates and times of restriction applying to all vehicles except for an emergency service vehicle carrying out an emergency response or vehicles given permission from Glasgow City Council events section.   

Prohibition of waiting, loading and unloading
15:00hrs on the 17 July 2026 until 23:59hrs on the 18 July 2026 

Hutcheson Street for its full length

Brunswick Street for its full length

Bell Street between Candleriggs and Walls Street

Garth Street for its full length

Wilson Street between Glassford Street and Candleriggs 

Prohibition of vehicle movements
06:00hrs on the 18 July 2026 until 23:59hrs on the 18 July 2026 

Brunswick Street for its full length

Bell Street between Candleriggs and Walls Street

Garth Street for its full length – local access to resident parking

Wilson Street between Glassford Street and Candleriggs

Hutcheson Street for its full length 

Suspension of bus lane
05:00hrs on the 18 July 2026 until 23:59hrs on the 18 July 2026 

Glassford Street, northbound between Trongate and Wilson Street 

Reason for Restrictions

The safety of the event and other road users. 

“vehicle” unless the context otherwise requires, means a vehicle of any description and includes a machine or implement of any kind drawn or propelled along roads whether or not by mechanical power;

“emergency service vehicle” means a vehicle being used by the Police, Fire or Ambulance Services to also include NHS blood transfer vehicles.
