Scottish Airline Supports Children's Entertainer To Bring Iconic Show To Shetland

This way, that way, forwards, backwards Loganair supports Singing Kettle over the Scottish seas

Loganair has bolstered its commitment to communities in Stornoway by continuing to support iconic children’s entertainer Artie Trezise MBE in taking his inimitable Singing Kettle show to the children and families of Stornoway.

The entertainer has been taking his singalong children’s show across the country – and beyond – for over 40 years and is able to bring it to rural communities thanks to a long-standing partnership with Loganair, which provides him with complementary flights getting him to and from the Scottish islands.

The show took flight this November, visiting Lanntair in Stornoway and entertaining families of the local communities who were entertained by Artie’s renditions of Over the Irish Sea, The Music Man and Ye Cannae Shove Yer Granny Aff the Bus.

The entertainer will also be bringing his show back to the islands, with Loganair as his airline partner, in February 2025 for a series of sold out performances in Lerwick on Shetland.

Artie Trezise, Singing Kettle founder and entertainer said: “I’m really proud that I’m still able to bring the Singing Kettle to the families of Scotland, and being able to bring the show to the communities of Stornoway thanks to Loganair’s support is a real bonus. The Singing Kettle magic will live on in the families who came to the An Lanntair performance for many years to come.”

Loganair is the UK’s largest regional airline and provider of many lifeline services to Stornoway including flights to and from Glasgow and Inverness.

Luke Lovegrove, Chief Commercial Officer of Loganair said: “We are pleased to continue our support of the Singing Kettle – it's a Scottish institution and if we can make sure it reaches the children and families of some of our further flung communities that is a big tick in my book.

“We pride ourselves at Loganair on making sure we support the local communities whether that’s through our lifeline flight services or by being able to use our network of flights to bring iconic productions such as the Singing Kettle to the islands.”
