LCP, part of M Core, has announced the signing of a further three tenants at Princes Square, Glasgow.
We are pleased to welcome Zibibbo, a new restaurant, bar and lifestyle shop, founded by Andy and Emma MacSween, a husband-and-wife team with over 30 years of combined experience. Set to open in units 6-9 this December, the 3,516 sq ft unit is currently undergoing a complete transformation. The space will feature an impressive, tiled bar, accommodate up to 120 guests, and include a mezzanine available for private hire.
Executive Chef Kevin O’Neill, who oversees the group’s culinary direction, said: “With Zibibbo, we’re excited to showcase a menu that’s both versatile and vibrant, designed to complement our extensive wine list. From elegant small plates to share, to heartier main dishes, the focus is on quality ingredients, fresh favours, and dishes that suit any time of day. We want guests to come in, discover something new, and keep coming back for more.”
Joining Zibibbo is The Whisky Shop which has signed a 10-year lease on its second unit in Glasgow. The Whisky Shop is the largest specialist retailer of whisky in the UK. The Whisky Shop can be found at Unit 16 (753 sq ft) of Princes Square and will be open for trade shortly.
Following The Whisky Shop is Launch Coffee, a local charity providing a variety of baked goods and beverages from units 10–11b in which 100% of profits go to help reduce child poverty in Glasgow. The charity has taken the 2,341 sq ft unit on a 10-year lease. Since the charities launch in 2018, over 750,000 free meals have been provided to local children in need. Scheduled to open December 2024 the new store will bring 12 new jobs to the centre and will be actively promoting vacancies soon.
Craig Johnson, Founder of Launch Coffee said: "We are delighted to be opening our second coffee shop in such beautiful shopping centre and being part of such a vibrant community of retailers is exciting.
“We hope our new customers relate well to our efforts helping children in our city and enjoy our home baked products where 100% of our profits fund our mission of ensuring no child in the city goes to bed hungry.”
Acquired by M Core earlier this year, Princes Square sits on Buchanan Street, the heart of Glasgow's premium shopping district. The structure of Princes Square is centred around a beautifully adorned atrium, conveniently located just a four-minute stroll from Glasgow Central Station.
Alex Williams, Senior Asset Manager and Head of Scotland at LCP, said:
“Following the excitement of & Other Stories joining the scheme, we are thrilled to now be welcoming Zibibbo, The Whisky Shop and Launch Coffee to Princes Square. The offerings of the three new tenants align perfectly with the existing premium brands at Princes Square.
“We are confident that these new tenants will contribute to the overall appeal of Princes Square and increase footfall for the overall retail destination, particularly in the lead up to Christmas.”
Legal representation was provided by Morton Fraser MacRoberts for The Whisky Shop and Bannatyne Kirkwood France & Co. acted on behalf of Zibibbo, whilst Launch Coffee was supported by Freeths. Stuart Moncur and Charlie Hall of Savills, and James Godfrey of Culverwell were the legal agents for the scheme.
