The first virtual GCU Fashion Showcase will take place at 4pm on Thursday 24 June.
The evening will include a Future of Fashion panel discussion organised in partnership with Glasgow Chamber of Commerce focusing on sustainability and what a post pandemic world looks like for the retail sector. You will have a chance to hear from our fantastic expert panellists including Professor Jane Shepherdson CBE, Retail Industry Expert and Chair of My Wardrobe Hq and Professor Patrick Grant FRSA, fashion designer and director of bespoke tailors Norton & Sons of Savile Row, clothing lines E. Tautz & Sons and Community Clothing as well as judge of the popular Great British Sewing Bee.
Throughout the evening you will be able to view our Digital Student Exhibition and short films to get an insight to some of the exciting projects our fashion students have been working on during the pandemic. You will also have the opportunity to connect with the students to understand their creative process, the challenges they have faced during the COVID-19 pandemic and how they found new inspiration to complete their work, as well as connecting with lecturers and other attendees.
Please note when registering for the GCU Fashion Showcase 2021: Style and Sustainability event you will register for the whole event but can choose to participate in one or all of the elements from 4.00pm.
