#NoWrongPath is an award-winning social media movement from DYW which provides hope and reassurance to Scotland’s young people as they receive their exam results.
DYW recognise that some young people may be disheartened by their exam results and so are aiming to show that many people in interesting and exciting job roles across Scotland may not have taken a straight, obvious or traditional path to get there. Exam results can often be perceived as the key to unlocking future success and, through our campaign we aim to demonstrate that there is no wrong path to success by highlighting the range and diversity of career paths that are followed post-school.
You will be aware that the 2020 exams were cancelled due to the ongoing crisis, leaving huge numbers of young people unsure of their next steps and making the messaging of #NoWrongPath more important than ever.
Alongside the #NoWrongPath resources hub of online support, the campaign will feature a Scotland's Biggest Parents' Event with keynote speaker, First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon as well as a range of experts, employers and young people who will discuss the range of career pathways and next steps. You can register for the event here
On Tuesday 4th August, we are asking you to share your own career journey and post a photograph of yourself holding a handwritten sign outlining your name, what you did when you left school and what you are doing now. Remember to use #NoWrongPath.
