Santa Claus is coming to town and he’s bringing his friend Holly Christmas to help spread festive cheer.
Arriving at Glasgow’s St. Enoch Centre on Saturday 30 November, both Santa and Holly Christmas will host their own special storytelling sessions over the coming weeks, with tickets available to book from today (Friday, 8 November) on the Eventbrite Meet Santa and Meet Holly Christmas pages. Quiet SEN sessions are also available so everyone can enjoy meeting Santa.
Santa will take a break from toy building for a few hours every Saturday and Sunday in the run up to Christmas to host a storytelling session for lucky girls and boys who have made it onto his nice list this year. His Christmas story will feature a Glasgow twist, which is sure to bring a smile to both children and parents.
After story time with Santa, children will be able to take part in a range of Christmas crafts, including creating baubles and cards to take home, helped by Santa’s Elves.
With Christmas being such a busy time, Santa wanted to ensure he could get as many children as possible into the festive spirit and so he brought his friend Holly Christmas with him to help. Perfect for younger children, Holly Christmas will host her own shorter story sessions in the mornings of 5, 12 and 19 December.
All children will have the opportunity to take their photo with Santa or Holly Christmas, to ensure the special memory will last forever.
The sessions have been arranged by St. Enoch Centre to help raise funds and support for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity. To ensure the sessions feel truly special, a maximum of 16 youngsters can attend at one time and children will receive a chocolate lollipop.
Anne Ledgerwood, general manager of St. Enoch Centre said: “We’re so pleased Santa has chosen to set-up his workshop in St. Enoch Centre, so boys and girls can easily meet him in the city-centre before Christmas. Hearing a story from Santa or Holly Christmas will be a truly magical moment and we’re pleased to support Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity with these magical, merry events.”
Meet Santa sessions will be held at 10am, 11am, 12pm and 1pm every Saturday and Sunday from Saturday 30 November to Sunday 22 December. Tickets cost £5 and all proceeds will go to Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.
Holly Christmas will be in St. Enoch Centre on 5, 12 and 19 December with 20 minute sessions running at 10am, 10.30am, 11am and 11.30am. These sessions are free, but booking is advised and donations on the day are welcome.
