Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Virgin Atlantic, is delighted to invite members to an evening panel discussion on the regional benefits of the Heathrow expansion.
We will explore how to improve competition at an expanded Heathrow and what the benefits of expansion will look like in and around Glasgow and how can we make the most of them.
Virgin Atlantic has announced plans to become Britain’s second flag carrier, increasing domestic connectivity and choice at Heathrow. The benefits of the Heathrow expansion will only be felt if we increase competition across domestic, short-haul and long-haul markets so that British business and leisure passengers can benefit from lower fares and greater consumer choice.
The panel will include Virgin Atlantic's External Affairs Director, Nathan Stower, who will discuss how expansion connects Scotland to the world, alongside Stuart Patrick, Chief Executive, Glasgow Chamber of Commerce. Other panel members will include Mark Hogarth, Creative Director, Harris Tweed Hebrides and Alastair Dalton, The Scotsman, who will discuss this issue further.
