The Scottish Government offers support for businesses through Prepare for Brexit scheme

The Prepare for Brexit campaign aims to stimulate companies to actively plan for Brexit, helping to increase business and wider economic resilience in the face of significant change.

The campaign brings together the enterprise and skills agencies, supported by The Scottish Government and other intermediaries and business support organisations, to deliver a coordinated approach to helping companies actively plan for Brexit.

It is being delivered both online as well as via the wide network of business advisers across the whole of Scotland.  Over the final six months before 29 March 2019 the campaign aims to significantly raise the level of activity across Scotland’s business base and encourage businesses to actively consider all potential risks and opportunities resulting from Brexit.

The campaign is now supporting all companies, regardless of size or sector.  It will cover a range of business-related themes including:

  • Business planning
  • Workforce skills and talent
  • Growing overseas business
  • Supply chain flows and relationships
  • Innovating to adapt and develop new products and services
  • Accessing investment and funding
  • Financial management, contracts and regulatory compliance
