26 Mar 2018
DYW Glasgow is set to host an event to launch the city’s 2018 Apprenticeship Challenge.
The launch, which will take place on 29 March, 08.30-10.30, will provide information about the competition and is an opportunity for businesses and organisations to register interest in participating.
The Challenge, coordinated by Developing the Young Workforce (DYW), will open on 30 April and run until 29 September.
During the competition, apprentices will form teams to plan and execute projects which will positively impact their local communities using the skills they have developed through their apprenticeship.
Each team will submit a portfolio to a judging panel, and give a presentation at a showcase event held in November, after which a winner will be picked for the Glasgow region.
Last year’s winning team from Scottish Water will be presenting their winning project at the event, while the DYW Glasgow team will give an overview of the competition.
