Primestaff, Scotland’s leading independent recruitment consultancy, has been chosen as the Best SME300 Newcomer at the recent Business Insider Awards in Glasgow.
Chief executive Danny McIntyre received the trophy from Allan Rennie, outgoing managing director of Media Scotland, at a glittering awards ceremony. The evening was sponsored by ScotlandCANDO and hosted by presenter Sarah Heaney at the Radisson Blu Hotel.
Danny said: “I’d like to thank Business Insider for this award. It’s one of the best things Primestaff has achieved since starting the business almost 25 years ago. When we heard we had won we were genuinely amazed, humbled and a little bit gobsmacked.”
Ken Symon, editor of Business Insider magazine and insider.co.uk, told the audience on the night: “There is so much attention given to our biggest companies, our major employers and that is rightly so but that does not mean we should in any way ignore the contribution made to the Scottish economy by our SMEs. This is your night.
“Tonight we are marking the contribution to the business community and the economy in so many different places and in so many different ways.
"But the shared factors that we are celebrating in the businesses we honour tonight are the drive and commitment, ingenuity and sheer stickability through good times and bad.
"All of this leads to a quality and consistency in performance in serving your clients or customers.”
