St. Enoch Centre supports Beatson Cancer Charity

St. Enoch Centre is supporting Beatson Cancer Charity with a donation of over £11,000.

Staff and shoppers at the leading Glasgow shopping centre raised funds through a range of initiatives including the Toddle Waddle, participating in the charity’s Off the Beatson Track and Christmas collections while centre manager, Anne Ledgerwood, took to the saddle, cycling 874 miles from Land’s End to John O’Groats.

Anne said: “Beatson Cancer Charity carries out invaluable work across Glasgow and we want to play our part in helping them to beat cancer and to provide the highest possible level of care for cancer patients and their families.

“Cycling all 874 miles of this famous route was both physically and mentally challenging but I am proud to have been able to play my part in helping to provide this vital service.”

As part of its charity partnership, St. Enoch also held weekly face painting sessions in exchange for donations. All funds raised will allow Beatson Cancer Charity to continue providing services, as well as funding specialists, research and education to invest in a better future for cancer patients and their families.

Beatson Cancer Charity’s Community Fundraising Manager, Maisie Hamilton, said: “A huge thank you to all the staff and shoppers at St Enoch Centre for their incredible donation.

“It is through the generosity and dedication of our supporters that Beatson Cancer Charity is able to deliver an innovative and patient-focused approach to cancer care and change the lives of those affected by the disease every day.”
