The Circular Glasgow team were delighted to work with the St Enoch Centre, and its retailers last month at a bespoke Circle Workshop.
Glasgow Chamber of Commerce has been working with the St Enoch Centre to explore opportunities for the circular economy, enabling businesses to be more innovative, future proofing their business models through the Circular Glasgow initiative.
The workshop was designed specifically for the St Enoch Centre and its retailers, following the its undertaking of a Circle Assessment, in order to look at innovative ways to collaborate and develop circular strategies to benefit business.
Funded by Zero Waste Scotland, the Circular Glasgow team were joined by leading experts Circle Economy to deliver the workshop. Based in the Netherlands, Circle Economy brought its Circle Workshop tools and international insights to the day.
The practical and interactive workshop enabled St Enoch Centre and its retailers including Starbucks, Burger King, Hamleys and Di Maggios to identify innovative circular strategies for business.

In addition to the workshop with St Enoch Centre, Glasgow Chamber of Commerce has been announced as partners at a major international trade mission coming to Scotland.
The Circular Economy Hotspot 2018 will welcome circular economy experts from Europe and across the globe for one of the world’s most prestigious sustainable business events, backed by the Scottish Government and European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Following a successful, competitive pitch against other nations, Scotland has been chosen to host the Circular Economy Hotspot: a unique international trade mission highlighting sustainable innovation and expertise. Taking place from 30 October to 1 November 2018, Circular Economy Hotspot Scotland is expected to attract around 300 of the world’s leading decision-makers, trade representatives, investors and circular economy entrepreneurs.
Iain Gulland, Chief Executive, Zero Waste Scotland, said: “For Scotland to be selected to host the third Circular Economy Hotspot is a fantastic achievement.
