We are proud to promote Kris Buchanan who is presently the Head of our Road Traffic Department and Nigel Scullion, Head of our Award Winning Criminal Department to Director. Both promotions are richly deserved with each individual bringing with him a wealth of experience and skill.
Quote from MR Nicholas James Scullion SNR who established Scullion LAW in 1979 ‘These appointments significantly strengthen the top tier of Scullion LAW and I am delighted to say we are on fire’.
Quote from Nicholas Jonathan Scullion Managing Director: “Both promotions are very well deserved in recognition of all the hard work these individuals contribute to the continued success of the firm. These appointments are indicative of our commitment at Scullion LAW to reward and recognise the talented staff working here, by promoting from within. Please join us in congratulating both Nigel and Kris for their individual achievements”.
Kris joined Scullion LAW in 2011. He is a graduate from Strathclyde University and has been passionate about cars since he was a kid. He has an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of modern supercars. He started off at Scullion LAW as a trainee specialising in conveyancing but over time it seemed only natural to combine his obsession with cars and his legal background, he now specialises in Road Traffic matters. He can regularly be seen at both the Sherriff and Justice of the Peace Courts throughout Scotland- from Peterhead down to Dumfries successfully defending driving licences and keeping clients on the road. From simple red light offences to more complex cases involving insurance technicalities Kris’ enthusiastic personality and willingness to go that extra mile, has seen him gain popularity with clients. He is an asset to the team and always works hard to get results.
Kris quotes: ‘I’m delighted that my hard work over the past 7 years has been recognised by the firm. I think it shows a real commitment by Scullion LAW to training and developing young legal staff. Having started out as a trainee, to now being in charge of the road traffic department.
Being in involved with Court work over the last 7 years, I have noticed the landscape of the criminal justice system change and with cuts to Legal Aid seemingly showing no signs of letting up, the outlook among many within the profession is bleak. But whilst many look to leave the profession, I see opportunity for those who are hungry and able to adapt. I look forward to progressing my own career within the firm, and helping continue to drive the firm forward during this time’.
Diana McLeish quotes ‘Nigel joined Scullion LAW in 2006 working alongside his father Mr Nicholas J Scullion. He now works side by side with his brother Nicholas and a team of highly skilled and energised professionals. He is passionate about the law and specialises in serious crime and private road traffic cases, representing clients throughout Scotland. Nigel’s confident court presence, charisma, legal skills and expert knowledge of the law combined with his great understanding and compassion for people is credit to our firm. He is a popular member of the team’.
We are very proud of all our team and want to thank everyone for their individual contributions to the success of Scullion LAW. It is an exciting time for all of us all. Thanks for your continued support.
