Edinburgh Chamber Event - Exploring the Irish Market

Consulate General of Ireland

Free Event

The UK accounts for 24% of imports into Ireland. In 2016, exports of goods and services from the UK to Ireland totalled £18.4 billion. Ireland is an ideal market for companies starting to trade internationally.

The country offers many opportunities in sectors such as beverage, pharmaceuticals, medical technologies, financial services and more. Ireland offers many advantages for Scottish businesses as it is geographically close and shares the same language, time zone as well as a similar culture. Ireland also benefits from a strong and flexible economic environment highly favourable for SMEs.

Join us for a breakfast event at the Irish Consulate in Edinburgh. Come along to hear from a panel of distinguished speakers who will highlight the business opportunities and support available for businesses wanting to enter the Irish market. Our speakers include: Dr Mark Hannify, Consul General of Ireland, a representative of Causeway (previously known as the Irish Scottish Business Network), Ms Mary Rose Burke, CEO of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce and Ms Helen Morley, Business Development Manager UK & Ireland at Cheeky Chompers, who will share their experience of entering the Irish market.
