In detail

Clockwise is deeply committed to sustainability and want to be at the forefront of providing environmentally and socially responsible workspaces that contribute to the wellbeing of all who use them. The ‘Positive Impact Strategy 2021’ is their first responsible and sustainable business strategy, that captures their goals and a roadmap for achieving them.

Based on Clockwise’s biggest environmental impacts, values, and the opportunity to influence, the strategy captures four key goals and details a roadmap for achieving them.

CLIMATE CHANGE

The aim of this goal is helping to tackle the climate emergency by creating carbon neutral workspaces across the UK, becoming a carbon positive business by 2030. This key goal includes undertaking a carbon footprint analysis and developing a carbon management strategy.

CIRCULAR ECONOMY

The circular economy goal will strive towards zero waste and the use of sustainable materials, by embedding circular economy principles into the way they design, operate and maintain spaces. The approach for this key goal includes measuring and reporting on waste generation and recycling, and designing spaces that are adaptable and use sustainable materials.

HEALTH & WELLBEING

Prioritising Health & Well-being means providing spaces and services that enhance the productivity, health and wellbeing of colleagues and members. The approach for this goal includes providing bike storage, showers and lockers, and trialling the WELL Building Standard on one of their new offices.

SOCIO-ECONOMIC IMPACT

Finally, this key goal aims to proactively support the UK’s levelling up agenda and help reduce inequalities. Support new businesses to thrive and create positive socio-economic impact in local communities. The approach for this goal includes investigating options to support businesses in their infancy and supporting colleagues to volunteer their time on meaningful initiatives
