Tennent’s Training Academy rolled out the red carpet for VIP visitor Alex Salmond, The First Minister of Scotland last month

The First Minister talks to Pro Bar students.
Since the very beginning, Tennent Caledonian Brewery has been Scotland's preeminent brewer and continues today, to lead in innovation and entrepreneurial spirit in the form of the Tennent's Training Academy.
This million pound state-of-the-art Academy and Cook School caught the eye of The First Minister as he dropped in to meet the students and sample their creations, in particular Head Chef John Quinn's 'Haggis Tempura and Whiskey Sauce'.
During the visit the First Minister took a tour of the Academy, its training rooms, the cook school and even turned his hand to pint pulling and sampled the new Scottish smooth draught ale Caledonia Best.
Students at the Tennent's Training Academy were delighted to see the First Minister visit them in their classrooms. He spent plenty of time talking to them about their Professional Bartender & Chef training and their future careers in the Hospitality Industry.
