British Airways is increasing flights from Glasgow to London City Airport four months ahead of schedule.

The increase from five to six return flights a day was originally planned for September this year, but owing to the popularity of the route they will now start on May 28.

British Airways is also launching a new route between Aberdeen and London City Airport with three return flights a day from September.

Luke Hayhoe, general manager commercial said: "We have been looking to increase frequency on the Glasgow-London City route for some time as it is very popular with both business and leisure customers. We decided to take the opportunity to boost the service for the summer."

British Airways offers all inclusive fares to all destinations, which include a generous free 23kg luggage allowance, free on-line check-in and seat selection 24 hours before departure and complimentary food and drink on board.
