Family Business expertise at Anderson Strathern

Two partners in leading law firm, Anderson Strathern have achieved the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Advanced Certificate in Family Enterprise Advising.
With over 50% of the private sector workforce in Scotland employed by family businesses this sector is hugely important to the Scottish economy. Family businesses range from large well known names through to the vast majority of SME's and can face uniquely challenging issues and the advice required needs to balance the needs of the family as well as the business.
This qualification helps advisers to understand the complexities of the family business context; to analyse and assess the needs of the family enterprise; to apply a range of tools to help the business achieve its objectives.
Steven McDonald and Ken Gerber are two of only three lawyers in Scotland who have achieved this significant accreditation. With sector knowledge and legal expertise across all industry and business sectors as well as personal and family law expertise Anderson Strathern's Families in Business team are ideally placed to support family businesses.
