Doig & Smith 1

Doig & Smith has congratulated three new Graduate Surveyors! Eilidh Henderson, Building Surveyor, Lauren Brown and Lauren Meldrum, Quantity Surveyors, who have all attained a 1st Class Honours Degree in their chosen specialisms.

It's been an exciting time for these impressive girls; securing full-time employment within D+S's graduate training programme, obtaining a 1st Class Honours Degree, graduating and now planning for their careers, they've managed to cram a lot into a short period of time.

Looking to their future each of the three was asked what their aspirations for the future are.

In the short term all three wish to secure chartership as soon as possible and to this end will be immediately undertaking their APC.  However, looking further into the future each has different aims.

Lauren Brown hopes to be involved in the successful cost management of D+S's projects to further enhance the company as leading Cost Consultants within the Construction Industry.

Lauren Meldrum hopes to build on her current student membership of CIOB and committee membership of CIOB Novus to achieve chartered status and embark on further academic studies to gain a Masters and enhance her current achievements.

Eilidh Henderson, hopes to "break into" the application of 3D laser scanning technology within the Building Surveying field (her dissertation topic) and in time specialise in this. She's always had an interest in the built environment. She says that "Building Conservation and the promotion of the ideal of 'retainability' as opposed to pure 'sustainability' is something I could see myself becoming more involved with in the future".

Well done - Doig+Smith certainly hope they achieve all they plan to do and with their current track record we're sure they will attain all they set out to accomplish.

Congratulations once again!
