On the instructions of Alan Brown & David Chubb of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Joint Receivers of City Site Investments Ltd, Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels has been appointed to market Central House for sale.

Full planning consent has been given for a 122-bedroom hotel conversion of the current property at 50-58 Jamaica Street, with generous room sizes and service areas over the ground and first floors.

Steven Fyfe, Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels, commented: "Central House is located adjacent to Glasgow Central Rail Station and close to St Enoch Centre, Buchanan Street and the International Financial Services District (IFSD).

"The property is currently vacant and this offer represents an exceptional opportunity to develop a contemporary 122 bedroom hotel within an innovative 19 storey building."

"With the quality of the location, this property could be adapted for a variety of uses subject to obtaining the necessary planning consent and presents a real opportunity for buyers."

The hotel development site is available on freehold tenure. The service access area to the rear of the building is subject to a ground lease.

Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels has not set an asking price but is seeking offers for their client's interest in the heritable (freehold) interest.
