Rangers TV is set to return to television screens next Monday (16 January, 2012) when three hours of Rangers action will be broadcast on Premier Sports on Sky channel 433.
Every Monday evening, following the weekend SPL fixtures, Premier Sports will broadcast three hours of Rangers content including the weekend SPL Rangers match in full. To complement the full match broadcast, pre and post match analysis as well as classic Rangers archive will be shown.
The Monday night show will feature SPL home and away games in full throughout the season and it will be repeated at least once during the week.
If the weekend's match has not been shown live on Sky or ESPN at the weekend, Rangers TV will start at 6pm with full match broadcast at 7.30pm. Otherwise, programming will start at 9pm.
Ali Russell, Chief Operations Officer at Rangers Football Club, said: "We are delighted that Rangers TV will be back on television once again to complement the outstanding success of our online channel that was launched more than two years ago.
"The new Monday night programme on Premier Sports gives our fans a great opportunity to watch SPL matches during the title run in that are not otherwise available on TV and it will be a 'must see' in the weekly schedule. We are constantly looking to enhance the opportunities for our fans to watch our matches so we are delighted to have agreed this partnership with Premier Sports."
Richard Webb, Director of Operations at Premier Sports commented: 'Although we have covered a number of Rangers games in Europe and pre-season over the last two summers we are delighted to be able to offer up all year round RangersTV content. I believe this is good news for all involved benefiting the club and also providing a platform on television which allows fans to view games they would otherwise not be able to view. With subscriptions to the channel at £2 per week, it's the ideal gift for any Rangers fan."
The new Premier Sports programme will complement the Rangers own internet TV station - RangersTV - which broadcasts seven days a week including home matches, news programmes, behind-the-scenes features and exclusive interviews.
Premier Sports broadcasts on Sky channel 433 in the UK and will broadcast over 1000 events next season with content including the NHL, NASCAR, Blue Square Bet Premier Conference Football, South American Football, NRL and Championship Rugby League.
