Work began this week on the £6.4m Quarriers Scottish Epilepsy Centre in Govan, Glasgow.
The construction has been assisted by a £40,000 donation from Boyd Tunnock CBE, Chairman of family business Thomas Tunnock Ltd, who was recently honoured with the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce Award for Lifetime Achievement.
The centre will be a replacement for the one in Bridge of Weir.
