Jones Lang LaSalle has just been appointed to manage an exceptional Grade A office space at 141 Bothwell Street - right in the heart of Glasgow's International Financial Services District.

Designed by Archial Architects and completed in 2009, the inimitable modern building occupies one of the most prominent island sites in the city centre and boasts excellent green credentials.

Comprising nine floors, the Grade A structure was the first Glasgow building to be awarded a coveted BREEAM "Excellent" rating, the best possible standard for environmental performance and also has a Level C Energy Performance Certificate.

The 175,000 sq ft building was purchased by institutional investors advised by Pramerica Real Estate Investors, from the Strathclyde Pension Fund in one of the more notable Scottish office investment deals of the past year.

The appointment of experienced managing agents from Jones Lang LaSalle is the next step in maintaining and enhancing the premium quality site.

Bryony Spencer, Associate Director at Jones Lang LaSalle, said: "141 Bothwell Street is an architecturally stunning building with outstanding green credentials, which is an increasingly important criterion for occupiers.

"The building is one of the city's most prestigious and sought after business addresses and is home to a range of high calibre tenants including McGrigors LLP, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Shell, HSBC and BNP Paribas. We are excited by this appointment and the potential for the building."

A large double height, fully-manned, reception foyer provides access to the building. The site also has several attractive specifications; including full raised access flooring, a metal suspended ceiling incorporating recessed lighting, and a generous 2.8m clear floor-to-ceiling height with some space currently available to let.
