London 2012 Contract Opportunities

The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) has announced commencement of its tender process to select suppliers/contractors for the following:

The Olympic Park Legacy Company was established in May 2009 and is the public sector, not-for-profit organisation responsible for the long-term planning, development, management and maintenance of the future Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and its facilities after the London 2012 Games. Plans for the Park are more advanced than any previous host Olympic City and are set to deliver an exciting mix of new homes, jobs and leisure opportunities to the local area.

The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) has announced commencement of its tender process to select suppliers/contractors for the following:

266 - Anti-Shatter Film - LOCOG is seeking a contractor for the design, supply, installation, maintenance, alteration, removal and reinstatement of Anti-Shatter Film (ASF) to a range of competition venues, hotels and other venues ahead of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. A brief outline of the opportunity includes:

  • Responsibility for installation of ASF (to the inner face of glass or double glazed units) and removal (where not agreed as permanent) of ASF to approximately 26 venues covering approximately 75,000m2
  • Complete installation service including agreement of dates for access and a survey for each site in advance of the works
  • Type of film:
    Below 3m2 area - 175 micron thick
    Above 3m2 area - 300 micron thick
  • ASF to be applied in accordance with the relevant British Standards: BS EN 12600 class B (1) or BS 6206 Class

267 - Weather shielding desk covers for outdoor venues - LOCOG is seeking interested parties for the supply, installation and removal of Temporary Weather Shielding Desk Covers for press, commentator and field of play desks. LOCOG anticipates a requirement of circa 1,850 units across 20 Olympic and Paralympic competition locations. The desks will generally be located on outdoor seating areas and on the field of play for outdoor venues
