Earlier in the week Glasgow was welcomed into 2012 with an onslaught of 110mph winds. Unfortunately a large amount of damage resulted from these extreme weather conditions, with slates and other debris falling off roofs causing damage to cars and businesses.
If your business's property of vehicles were damaged you are most likely entitled to use your insurance to cover the cost of any repairs.
Glasgow Chamber of Commerce offers its members a free legal advice helpline to discuss business related legal matters. As a member you also have access to up to £65,000 worth of professional fees each year to cover issues such as employment disputes, prosecution defence, Employment Awards or Tax, VAT, PAYE and NIC investigations.
In the event of a dispute it is essential that you contact the
Chamber Legal Advice Line at the earliest opportunity. Delaying
notifying the insurers could jeopardise your ability to be covered
so if in doubt call.
The Advice Line will provide member businesses with telephone based
"signposting" advice about any legal issue and where possible
prevent issues from escalating in the first place.
To contact the Chamber Legal Advice Line or if you would like to
speak to someone about Chamber Legal Expenses please call 0871
423 5239.
Calls from a BT Landline cost 10p per minute at all times. Mobiles and other networks may cost more.
