Two of Glasgow's most popular radio stations have fared remarkably well in the latest round of Rajar figures for Q3 2011.

Clyde 1, one of your Chamber's Platinum Partners, has increased its in year on year reach by 7.9% adding 41,000 weekly listeners to its broadcasts. They have increased their listening hours by 15.5%, with Clyde 1 and its sister station Radio Forth reaching well over 1m people each week.

The station has tried to ensure it continually delivers a refreshing mix of engaging content, even more hit music, showbiz and entertainment with a focus on locality, with some of radio's best know personalities.

Meanwhile, Capital FM Scotland, broadcasting from its base in Pacific Quay has increased its listeners by around 33,000 in the last three months.  Contributing to these figures, asides from the success of the Des and Jennie Weekday Breakfast Show is the hiring of Adele Cunningham for the Saturday 8am - 12pm slow.  In fact the Chamber was so impressed with the quality of the presenters we invited non other than Des Clarke to act as compère for the evening at the Glasgow Business Awards.

Both of these encouraging results exemplify the thriving state of the city's media industry which is moving from strength to strength. Both stations are attracting some of the UKs top personalities, continuing to improve the quality of their programming and increasing their reach across the whole of Scotland.
